Correcting Credit Errors
When you have verified your credit report information its time to start repairing your credit. Here are some things to consider:
Spot the unconstructive marks on the credit report. The majority of bad marks on a credit report are “past dues". You must figure out the percentage of all your debts fall into the aberrant category. "Past due" notations tend to be correct but sometimes there are situation where entries are done incorrectly, or the mail you received was late, or possibly circumstances occurred that delayed the processing. Make your request in writing. For any success in repairing your credit requires that you communicate exclusively by writing. If disputing items, don’t waste your time getting in touch with a credit bureau personally or through the phone. Take in your credit report to make sure that the bureau verifies the correct file. Put the date, your signature, your birth date, place of residence as well as your social security number within the letter.
