Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 24 September 2026
This policy explains what information financeland.co.uk collects, why, and your rights over it. The site is deliberately low-data: there are no accounts, no newsletters and no advertising trackers.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Real Code Ltd, registered in England & Wales No. 08919593, registered office 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration ZB939242). You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Analytics data (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to record anonymised usage statistics — pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use the data to identify you. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is collected.
- Contact emails: if you email us, we hold your email address and message contents so we can reply.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and request metadata to deliver and protect the site.
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser — the figures you enter are never sent to us or stored.
3. Lawful bases (UK GDPR)
- Consent — for analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site’s cookies.
- Legitimate interests — for server logs needed to operate and secure the site, and for responding to emails you send us.
4. Cookies
The only non-essential cookies we use are Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*), and they are only set after you press “Accept” on the consent banner. A separate cookie (financeland-consent) stores your choice for 180 days. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. Analytics data is processed by Google under their data processing terms. Our site is served via Cloudflare. We do not share personal data with anyone else unless required by law.
6. How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then deleted. Contact emails are kept for up to 24 months. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider according to their own policies.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
